luggage storage on disembarkation

This is our 1st Seabourn cruise. We're disembarking in Lisbon and have a very late flight, so we're planning to spend the day in town. According to Seabourn's call center, they don't offer any kind of luggage storage after we disembark - does anyone know anything different? In the past when we've had a late flight we just hung out in a hotel lobby, but this time we want to ditch our bags.

Thank you.

If you arrange flights with Seabourn Air they will handle the transfer - and for late night flights before they have provided a day room with transport from the ship to hotel, and then hotel to airport.  We last did this a couple years ago, so it may have changed (more recently we have done their disembarkation transfer where there will provide lunch and a group waiting area such as a conference room at a hotel for afternoon departures).  Worth looking into, and sometimes the airfares are better through Seabourn.

Dayrooms are notoriously hard to find - most hotel groups do not offer them. A few years ago we had a very early pre-cruise arrival in Lisbon after a very late night at a family event. We wanted somewhere to rest and store our luggage. We found a dayroom at the Raddison near the airport through a website dayrooms dot com . A clean probably 3 star hotel which suited our needs (though food was lousy) for the day.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I did speak w/Seabourn's air dept. but they said they don't help w/anything post-cruise. I suspect that onboard the only offers will be for excursions, which we totally don't want. I guess we'll try to speak w/some hotels directly.

There are luggage storage lockers available at the Lisbon Airport, pre-security.  That may be the most cost-effective option and you only need to move your luggage once...ship to airport.  Then you can relax and enjoy Lisbon knowing your luggage is already at the airport ready for you to return and check-in for your flight.

Google "Baggage services Lisbon Airport".

This from a Washington Post article today was of interest on this topic:

Save on short-term luggage storage

It’s a common hassle: Your next flight or train leaves in the evening but you have to check out of your hotel by midmorning — and it’s too inconvenient for your itinerary to leave your bags at the hotel after you pay the bill. Instead of dragging your suitcases around while you take in one more day of sightseeing, you can book short-term luggage storage using an app that has partnered with small stores and businesses to provide secure storage.

A few of the many options include Usebounce.com, Nannybag.com, Radicalstorage.com and Stasher.com. Prices tend to start around $5-7 dollars per day per item.

That option is often cheaper than using the short-term storage offered at large train stations and some airports — which are often located far from sites you want to visit.

I guess, as long time independent travelers, we generally have little problem finding our own solutions to issues like luggage storage.  There are numerous places in Lisbon, where one can safely store luggage, while they spend the day in town. Going all the way out to the airport, to just dump luggage, and returning to the city, really makes little sense.  Here is just one site that lists luggage storage options:

Luggage Storage & Lockers in Lisbon Guide - 2024 (luggagehero.com)

In the OP's situation we would simply take a post cruise taxi to one of the luggage storage places (after doing some homework on which place to use) and drop the luggage.  The OP is than free to spend their day doing as they please.  When it gets near the time to head out to the airport, just retrieve the luggage and grab a taxi to the airport.  Easy peasy.
