klfrodo Posted November 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2023 Asking for my wife, please don't ask me to explain the why's and whereto for's? I've searched TSA.gov and can't find the answer. A few years back, she got TSA Pre-Check because she was tired of standing in the lines while I was enjoying my coffee waiting for her to get thru security. Then, a year or 2 later, she decided to get GE. (Please don't ask the obvious question 🤯) Now, she's receiving notification that it's time to renew her Pre-Check. The commonsense approach would be that she's got GE (which includes pre-check) so don't worry about it. The other part of me is that no one that I'm aware of has ever accused a US Gov't agency of using the commonsense approach. Thoughts?
Rare FlyerTalker Posted November 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2023 Go to the Trusted Traveler portal for CBP. Check what the expiration dates are for your KTN.
CruiserBruce Posted November 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2023 Agree...the Trusted Traveler website is pretty transparent about everything, once you get past the security.

BOB999 Posted November 24, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2023 My assumption (could be mistaken) is that if you sign up for the standalone TSA Precheck, then later GE, you would have two separate Trusted Traveler numbers. If that's the case, then your wife would just user her GE TTN when the TSA-Pre TTN expires.

No, Global Entry is the best thing EVER! And, it's because TSA Precheck is included. 12 hours ago, BOB999 said: My assumption (could be mistaken) is that if you sign up for the standalone TSA Precheck, then later GE, you would have two separate Trusted Traveler numbers.
