For all those Glass House fans, from now onwards throughout the winter season, the Glass House is not open for lunch on port days. This is detrimental to our holiday enjoyment, and would be interested to know others thoughts.

Is this just Azura? This would be an issue for us if it extended to other ships. We usually go ashore during the morning and return to the ship for lunch. We are happy to use the MDR but if we are too late we go to the Glasshouse. We never use the buffet.

We were on Ventura and used the Glasshouse many lunch times even when in port .

I can tell you some of those days the waiters were taking names and making up

a wait list .We were told to return on one occasion 15-20 minutes later to be seated

in the restaurant area,

So they could be shooting themselves in the foot if this spreads to other ships .

This was less than two weeks ago .

Yes. Your point is ?

Mine is that people wanting to experience lunch will now have less opportunity.

Sorry the way I read what you put that you thought it was happening on sea days. Sorry about that.

People wanting to experience lunch It wasn't that busy on port days anyway and they were open for lunch. People could not get tables for dinner or had at least a 45 minute wait.

We've got OBC to use and was hoping to use it for dinner in glasshouse but sounds like it's hard to get a table? Can you pre-book using OBC? Even on day 1 of the cruise?

Glass House was not able to be pre-booked. If you go down and no one is on the desk, speak to one of the waiters they will do the best they can. I recommend speaking to Edwin just be like any chance you can get us a table for such a time.

Nearly every day on our cruise is a port day ...

Perfect thank you.... Is that on the day you want the booking for? (I.e. pop down in the afternoon to request it?)

No booking. Not hard to get a table. We were seated without delay but had to wait for food. It wasn’t a major problem for us, just giving a heads up so you know what to expect.

At this point, all we can say is that when we went for lunch today, we were informed that from this cruise (going forward) the Glasshouse no longer serves lunch on port days. No reason given; just a shrug. This is a big problem for us as it is our go-to restaurant. We haven't used the MDR in over 9 years, and we have lunch and/or dinner in the Glasshouse every day. On this cruise, we pre-booked The Beach House and Sindhu. Unfortunately, both were disappointing. We couldn't get a table in the Glasshouse last night, nor this evening. This might be the last straw..........

Pop down any day.

By Wednesday mid-afternoon, the only evening options available were Friday, at 6pm, 9pm, or 10pm. Nothing available for the Wednesday nor the Thursday. We popped in on the Wednesday evening (just in case) but our request to dine was unsuccessful.

As we had a long day's excursion planned for the Friday, the 9pm reservation suited us, so we booked that. However, the Glass House was very quiet by 9:15pm, and we were practically alone by 9:45pm. No-one having a wine flight, or dining. What is going on............ ?
