There is shopping at the port right where you come off of the ship.

A great place to go is Independence Square and head for the Gallery Cafe.    To get there is easy.

Walk straight thru the cruise port shops and head for the clock tower with fountain from there look for Gallery Cafe.    I do not recall exact location once in the square but it's a nice area to walk around.  We found some really nice pieces from local artists.

By your post content this is not.

Most memorable excursion we have ever taken was Mad max dune buggy tour in St. Kitts. Travelled On road/Off road , 1 end of the island to the other with excellent stops for viewing along the way

Caveat Emptor

Around the port area, there were stalls and shops offering “paintings” etc, purporting to be by “Local Artists”, but originate from “factories” in China, Easter Europe, India etc..

 

Play it safe, and contact Kate Spencer, a World renowned artist, to see if Kate’s Studio is open for a visit when one arrives, or if Kate has returned to having her own store in town.
Special art pieces, all made by hand in her studio.
