Sunshine3601 Posted November 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2023 (edited) A great place to go is Independence Square and head for the Gallery Cafe. To get there is easy. Walk straight thru the cruise port shops and head for the clock tower with fountain from there look for Gallery Cafe. I do not recall exact location once in the square but it's a nice area to walk around. We found some really nice pieces from local artists. May want to check out https://www.afar.com/places/amina-craft-market-basseterre also in the same area of Independence Square. SG65CB Posted November 26, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2023 Here is the St Kitts / Nevis message board on this site. Lots of information about the port and a good place to ask questions specific to the port: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/329-st-kitts-amp-nevis/

Most memorable excursion we have ever taken was Mad max dune buggy tour in St. Kitts. Travelled On road/Off road , 1 end of the island to the other with excellent stops for viewing along the way Cheers
PORT ROYAL Posted November 26, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 26, 2023 19 hours ago, Drucruiser said: Shopping? Is shopping near the port or is it easy to get to, prefer local artists too Caveat Emptor Around the port area, there were stalls and shops offering “paintings” etc, purporting to be by “Local Artists”, but originate from “factories” in China, Easter Europe, India etc.. Play it safe, and contact Kate Spencer, a World renowned artist, to see if Kate’s Studio is open for a visit when one arrives, or if Kate has returned to having her own store in town. Special art pieces, all made by hand in her studio. https://www.facebook.com/SKNArtPrints/
