Bunk beds on older ships

I'm looking at a couple different cruises that we'd go on with our kids.

Previously when sailing with the four of us we've always been on the -away class ships that have the pull-down bunk bed.  This works well for us because our kids are teens and don't want to sleep in the same bed.

I saw that on the newer ships that this isn't an option, the couch pulls out to a double bed.

Are there any of the older ships (Jewel, Pearl, etc) that have the pull-down single beds, or do we need to stick with the -away ships?

I know that I can get adjoining rooms, but since we're really only in there to sleep and shower that seems like a waste.

Adjoining rooms with 2 teenagers is a game changer!! LOL. 1st time my wife and I did that and realized we no longer had to share a bathroom with 2 teenagers…we never went back to cramming into one cabin ever again. Think about it….2 bathrooms. Worth every penny

We were on the Pearl with four of us(mom, dad, two kids) in 2016. The inside cabin had the beds which pulled down from the ceiling. We just had the lower beds be separate rather than together as a queen, so we essentially had bunk beds with a walkway between.

Not sure how the balcony rooms are, but you may want to try searching the internet to find a cruise ship deck plan site with room pictures.
