In room beverage

Was looking to pre purchase some beer. One of the stipulations is to drink in room only. Do they enforce this and how would they if you did take out of room?

They do not enforce it and there is no way they would know unless you get belligerently drunk and they start looking into how much alcohol you've had.

They really have no effective way of enforcing this that I can think of.

The beer cans are the same ones at the bar so there's no way to tell. It is my belief that the main reason to have the policy in place is to keep people from bringing their 1 liter bottle of booze up to the lido deck.

That is the only thing that even remotely makes sense about this policy! "Sir, that was a room purchased beer, we are going to have to disembark you at the next port of call" said no one ever 😉

You're good, DH been doing it for years, likes to know he has a few cold ones in the fridge (especially if hanging out on the balcony) He will also put a couple in the collapsible cooler with ice to bring up to serenity sometimes.

Buy the bucket of beers when you first get on, then take them to your room, just tell them not to

open all of them. just one, no problem.

They won't open them all since you won't be drinking them all at once. (I suppose they would if you asked, like if you bought the bucket as a round, but typically buckets are purchased by one person for one person. And no, the bucket doesn't count against the 15 drinks per day limit.)
