RE: Cruises with many ports

On trips with many ports & excursions are times for bingo, loteria and other usual daytime activities changed?  I'm looking forward to our S. Caribbean cruise, but thinking we will probably miss quite a few onboard activities.

As with any VV sailing, things will change on the fly depending on many factors onboard, or the whim of the Happenings cast. We had speed puzzling times changed or cancelled, Bingo with the Diva turned into Bingo with the Happenings Cast and times changed. In general the ships are very light with daytime activities when the ship is in port.  But yes you will miss some activities that only happen once while you're in port, but that should be rare.

Generally things that normally only happen on sea days like the VHS workout and Loteria will only happen on the one or two sea days. Things like bingo can get scheduled in the evening though.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe they can do activities like bingo or lotteria while in port as it's considered gambling.

I don’t think that would count for Loteria as there are no cash prizes, you are paying for the drinks really. But yes it’s possible that bingo can only be done in international waters, although it is an odd game that doesn’t count as “gambling” in the same way casino games like roulette/poker do.

the most port intensive VV that i've been on has been resilient lady's greek island glow this summer.  we had a late night port, an overnight port, and i think only 1.5 sea days.  they kind of treated the afternoons/evenings of those longer port days as pseudo sea days- they'd have some onboard activities each day.  we were typically out an about in port so didn't end up doing as many things onboard as we'd done on caribbean voyages.
