Ship Boy according to Amazon that is what I have :)!

I have an Otterbox Magsafe hard case that's a little finicky, but it works.  I checked the reviews before I bought it. Some are definitely better than others.

Clay, I have seen you playing a game of LRC and needing 3 one dollar bills. There is a whole discussion on Carnival about some one reporting this game being played on a Carnival ship and the participants have fists full of dollars. Illegal on Carnival and security shut them down. Must be that Viking is OK with the game.

Viking is way more mature than Carnivorous.🍸  Try and bring a bottle of wine on Carnival and they throw you in the brig....

Carnivorous might be ok if you played with $4 and gave them one. They need their cut. Actually maybe $5 ;o)

No issues so far on Viking and in fact Max, our shore excursion manager mentioned in his port talk yesterday about Dakar (where we will be tomorrow) that guests should have dollar bills if they wish to pay for souvenirs and suggested stopping by the pool bar at 3:30 today if anyone need to change larger bills. 😂

Also have never had any issues on NCL where on one TA our pot was typically over $100!

Probably because Carnival sees it as competition to their casinos. Which thankfully don’t exist on Viking.

I did not know MAX ( if he the same Max) was onboard...he was on the Jupiter with us in 2022 when we went from Santiago, Chile. to Buenos Aires to Barcelona to Bergen to Amsterdam ( loved those Covid cancellation and 25%)...he and his team worked miracles as things opened and closed as the world was reopening!  You were lucky to have him trying to navigate the mess you all faced!

Was that on the Getaway where we had a conference room booked and played every afternoon? I had so much fun and met so many nice people by playing that game.

That is our Max, along with Sam Brown the Guest Services Manager.  Both of whom have been great!  Well except for Max’s jokes IYKYK😂

I wasn’t on that cruise…this was on Dawn (maybe Star?) and we played out back.

We also had some fun LCR play on Celebrity Millennium on our transpacific where they gave us a conference room.

I just saw that more of my favorite Viking folks have joined you on the SKY...Mike and Wendy Seigel.  Make sure to attend Mike's lectures...they were always well prepared, delivered and enjoyed!  His wife, Wendy, is a delight too.  If anyone has the opportunity tell them Dee and Pat Clark from the Jupiter in 2022 send our best!

He is the guardian on our excursion today. When I showed him your post, he said “oh-the Clarks.  Tell them “Cheers!”

What was their topics on that cruise Deec?
I only remember the 60’s Beatles photographer and the English woman who sailed the Atlantic with her son

I realized after I posted that obviously we would have met if you were there. Sorry!

Our group was so big we were afraid we’d get shut down for competing with the casino. We did get asked to quiet down by the Mah Jong ladies across the hall in the game room.

Mike did many of the history talks.  He also did the tour on the ship of the Bayeaux tapestry in the staircases.  Wendy did not present.

We are in Gorée Island & Dakar! Much to my surprise given it’s been removed from most (all?) itineraries over the last few years.

I’ll be curious to hear what you think of Gorée. I was there many years ago and found it fascinating. It was nearly empty at the time. No idea what it’s like now.

I avoided the history talks, I’ve lived through most of it 😀

It was not empty. Lots of tourists and seemingly an equal number of roving sellers of beads, statues, fabric, etc.

My biggest takeaway was the contrast between the island’s colorfulness and  the atrocities committed

Amazing breakfast selections aboard Sky this morning.  Beautiful and delicious spread of mezze. We didn’t know it was breakfast food but according to our friend Wiki it is!  #yummy.

LCR today at 3:30 at the pool bar. Come see if Linda will make it a four-peat!  By my calculations she has won close to a hundred bucks…seems like it’s time for someone else to win.
