FTTF Jacksonville Arrival Time?

I messed up. Forgot to check in early and got a 12:30 arrival time for our cruise out of Jacksonville.  I understand that things are done differently from port to port and was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with showing up prior to their scheduled arrival at Jacksonville with FTTF.

Just got off of MG yesterday, can tell you at least in PC last week they were turning away people in the platinum and diamond line that did not have the earliest appointment times.  We had 10:00 to 10:30 and are platinum, the family in front of us had 11:00 time (platinum) on boarding passes and they asked them to return at the appropriate time.  This was at 10:05 am when we went through the line (we boarded ship at 10:35 am). 

 

Might be different at Jax port but be prepared for both outcomes at this point.

You are expected to abide by your port arrival appointment at all ports of embarkation no matter if you have FTTF or are Diamond etc. This is one reason why I really don't understand why people still buy FTTF - it doesn't allow you to disregard your port arrival appointment anymore.

My first post-Covid cruise from JAX there was quite a line waiting for checkin to open.  The last two times there was no line - I am platinum with earliest time - and I walked right in, no one checked time.  It will just depend on how bad the line is.  Be prepared for sniffer dog to check your carryon bags.  EM

Doesn’t FTTF buy you the 2 day early check in like Platinum/Diamond?

yes and that is why you have to abide by the arrival appointment
