Viking Toiletry Products: Perfumed Scent?

My wife and I are sailing next month, first time on Viking. Ms. Notjaded has asked that I inquire about whether there is a marked perfumed scent with the shower gel/shampoo/conditioner.

Toiletries, Freyja, are of a fine quality.  Yes, pleasantly scented IMO,  but not too heavily.

 

Don't know, but one could ask if unscented available.

Currently onboard first Viking cruise. I do not find the products very scented at all. I don’t like perfumed products, and these have not been a concern for me.

Smell is personal --just like the comfort of the mattresses and the taste of the food on board. Most of us seem to find the smell of the Viking toiletries and laundry products acceptable but there will always be a few who will find them intolerable.

 

As one who is sensitive to fragrances and perfumes, I suggest that if you are concerned, bring your own tried and true products, at least on your first Viking cruise, until you have a chance to decide for yourself if the Viking products work for you.

I have asked on every one of our 9 ocean cruises if they would offer non scented toiletries as an option. Hasn’t happened yet.

Everyone who wants to see a fragrance-free option should write in and say so.

Neither of us likes flowery scented toiletries, and at home we use mostly unscented products. We both found the Viking products provided in our cabin to have a very light pleasant scent.
