Internet on Grandeur

How is the internet service on new ship Grandeur?

Best of any Regent ship we have been on! We didn’t upgrade to the streaming option. Email, posting pictures and short videos—all easy and reliable.

We had no problems at all last week, it was seamless. We didn't upgrade to streaming either.

Note that "upgrading" to streaming DOES NOT make it faster.  Just opens your account to allow streaming.

You can stream with a vpn. I’ve been doing so the entire cruise. Internet has been flawless. The IT guy is great

You need one or the other. You won't have to pay extra if you have a VPN.

I think I had the VPN running when I logged in during our Mariner cruise in October. 
 

What is the benefit of logging in without the VPN?

Starlink blocks WiFi connection when vpn connected. You have to connect to WiFi first then connect vpn
