Sailing on Royal Caribbean from New Jersey?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Just put a blog post together about information you should know if you are sailing from the New York/New Jersey ports, including the Cape Liberty Cruise Port. Hopefully this answers your questions about location, parking, transportation and which cruise lines sail from which ports.

Hope you enjoy and that this helps!

Cape Liberty parking at the port is now $30 a day.  The parking garage often fills up so you will have to use open air parking (also $30 a day) that may require a shuttle.

In addition, if travelling from NYC or Long Island, you will have to pay big bucks in tolls to get to the port.

Even though the parking garage is not always available to everyone, it is available to drivers with a handicap /disabled sticker or license plate.       The price had been $25 per day for the last couple of years even though their website has said $30.   I was wondering when they were actually going to enforce the price increase to $30.

There are mistakes in the sub-headers for the sections that talk about Brooklyn and Cape Liberty. After each of these locations are introduced the following sub-header appears:

Major Cruise Lines that Depart from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal

This appears within sections talking about the Brooklyn Terminal and the Cape Liberty terminal. Might add some confusion.

Garage at Cape Liberty was $30 a day.  We just parked there the week of 12/17/23.

Yes, it was announced in October 2021 that the daily rate of $25 would be increased to $30, though not implemented for more than a year. It is presently $30 per day as others have stated.
