Cancelling and rebooking excursions cheaper - issue booking rebooking

As most are aware, to save money on excursions pre cruise, we book them and when they go cheaper, we cancel for refund and rebook at the better price.

 

When I have tried to do it today, it has blocked me rebooking saying:

 

already has a reservation during this time.

Which basically it is blocking us double booking ourselves for that time, because of the original booking that has been cancelled doesn't appear to have come off the calendar.

Is there a way round this? is this a new problem? as we haven't had this problem before.

 

it means it could backfire and cost me more if it doesn't allow me to rebook while the promo is on.

 

Any help/advice/experience in the will be appreciated, thank you

Just wait about an hour to rebook. This happened to us.

Sometimes, it just takes a while to process. 
Also, log out of your account while you wait.

I had the same issue with a dining reservation. I called Royal and they could do the rebook on the spot

If it doesn’t work, just call them they will be able to book it over the phone.

Thanks for replies. Just to confirm, I waited and it updated about an hour after so have now managed to re booked. Thanks for replies

Refresh both the Orders and the tour page after cancelling.  If you have a credit this makes it reappear.  On the orders page you will see the cancellation credit with the original booking.  It also gets rid of the booking conflict so you can book again.
