Is your medical waiver age related or other?

Mine is age related; my husband’s is related to his being immunocompromised.

We did Gran Canaria to Capetown in November on Pursuit.

The ship took care for all visas. The cost was charged on the account.

Hello, how much was the Gambia visa? If you apply in advance with the US consulate they want 200 USD per person. If it's that much, we might just stay on board.

As Austrian citizens we did not need a visa for the Gambia. And I am sorry, I don't know how much it was.

Found this on the website accessgambia.com

US Citizens
usa-flag.jpgNationals from the US require an entry visa with at least 1 blank page on their passport for the stamp. Check with your doctor whether you need any vaccinations. You can apply for a visa at the Embassy of The Gambia in Washington DC. They may be allowed entry without a visa, provided they obtain one from the Immigration Department in Banjul within 2 working days.

If you look at Azamara’s visas required document it says US citizens require a Visa-on-Arrival. Further down it says Azamara will organise it & charge the $121 cost to your onboard account.

That is correct and is required, even if you don't plan on going out.

Just a quick one to confirm, on trip down all taken care of onboard and debited to your account whether going ashore or not. ONLY applies if your nationality requires a visa.

Correct as of November 2023 but things can change, obviously.
