Captain’s Club Senior Officers Party

We just got off the Ascent yesterday, the ship is beautiful!  We had an awesome time!  The Captain’s club senior officers party was held in Eden but the Captain was a no show!  We found this to be strange, normally the Captain is there to greet everyone and make a short speech.  Has this happened before?

It depends how you read it, it’s The Senior Officers party. 
Invites go to members of the Captain’s Club. If you were on Royal Caribbean, you would be in the Crown & Anchor society.

Too many possibilities. The captain could have been taking care of some urgent matter, or might have been feeling under the weather.  Was the Staff Captain there in the Captain’s stead?
