drumming cruisers Posted January 31 #1 Share Posted January 31 (edited) We are booked on Bliss in February. Original booking was a balcony, travel protection for 2 of us was $90. Called NCL and upgraded to Haven 2 bedroom. Travel protection went up to $798. Does that seem correct? Thanks for all your info! Rare cruiseny4life Posted January 31 #3 Share Posted January 31 The price seems accurate for the Haven. It's what we have paid in the past for Platinum protection . Did you originally only have the Essentials? $90'ish sounds accurate for that plan. We appreciate the CFAR product NCL's insurance has...I know it's not insurance y'all and that it's offered by NCL, not the travel insurance company. CFAR protected us when we canceled well within final payment to go on a longer, almost as cheap cruise as we had booked originally.

Sounds like their was a change in the type of protection for the upgrade, aside from the higher cruise price.

Was your original Balcony a casino comp? The 90 sounds like the base price for insurance if your cruise cost is only paying the $20 pp/per day admin fee. Then, if we pay for an upgrade, the new insurance cost is based on our new 'cost' of the cruise. Recently, we did a $200 per person/$400 upgrade through CAS. Our insurance is now $150 total (75 per person.) 2
