Can I use multiple credits cards to settle the final bill?

Aren't the DSC amounts broken out and applied to your account daily?

Remember: if you have the free at sea, they put USD 200 (?) on hold per Night and passenger. Every day. This was once a Problem to us. they tried to put 400 (2 ppl) on hold before they removed the hold from the day before. USD 800 was to much for our card, the Cruise was still on it and the bank didnt believe we spend this much in USD (a small german bank) needed a call.

I think that you are using a couple of different terms; "credit cards" and "gift cards".

I am dubious that NCL will allow you to put more than one credit card on your "folio".

In the past - on a couple of different occasions, my DH or I have had some expensive medical threathment on board (been reimbursed by travel insurance later), where I have used different cards than the one registered "on the folio" to pay off the extra expenses as soon as they appeared on our onboard account. I have done the same when I have purchased CruiseNext certificates and didn't want this to be charged to the card on the folio. In my experience it has just worked the same way as when I eg. after a small "win" in the casino then  mid-cruise have gone to guest services and said that I would like to pay "off" eg. $300 (or any amount at my choice) on my on board bill with cash (allthough I always have a credit card registered on the folio). In my experience paying in some money towards the "cruise account bill" at any time during the cruise, has been threated exactly the same wether I have chosen to do so with one or multiple credit cards or with cash.

I have never done this by trying to use any kind of gift card though....

Guest Services is open 24/7.

If you go at the "right" time, there is little to no line.

absolutely true, but if you visit at 11 pm or 2 am or 5 am, you’re likely to find the desk unattended, with a lone representative somewhere in the back office. that person will eventually, but reluctantly, assist you. my experience has been, however, that those who work during these quiet periods are often the least knowledgeable reps. they can handle most rudimentary requests. for anything at all unusual, or that requires some sort of supervisor approval, they will ask you to come back after 9 am.

Fair enough.

But I never tried those times.

Right after (an early) dinner seems quiet.

Also, after breakfast on a sea day.

As long as it is not an urgent matter, just check out the line when passing by the area.

During boarding and the evening before disembarkation are not the right times.   😧

To be fair, I haven't ventured past Guest Services any time between 9 PM and around 9 AM. I'm asleep or just waking up/breakfasting...but any time during the day, I've always noticed a super long line. Perhaps there are times that aren't, as you allude to in a different post (early evening), but I've not seen this. I just am hoping OP will get some OBC ahead of the cruise and not waste precious vacation time at Guest Services.

On Epic two weeks ago, often during midday there was no line at all. On three occasions I walked up without waiting and got a copy of my bill.

Thanks! That's really helpful. I've never needed to go to Guest Services, but certainly will take a look midday if I ever do. And in that early evening block @cruiser2015 mentioned.

I would advise OP to look for posted hours when the Finance desk (next to Customer Services) is staffed.   Although the CS agents can process payments, they are not as knowledgeable as the Finance officers.    When you are 'adding' an additional form of payment, they have to designate which card you are leaving on file for any more charges.

Personal example, I visited CS and asked to have a specific amount placed on a different credit card.  They made some sort of mistake processing it and I received a call from the Finance officer to apologize for the error made.  My credit card had a couple of 'corrections' that could have caused a problem until they cleared.

Another example, I tried to make an after midnight cash deposit of some winnings from the casino.  The late night agent suggested I return during the day.   I definitely did not want to leave a large sum of cash with someone who did not know how to process it for my account.
