Mallorca Scooter rental(vespa)

Arriving June 17 on Oasis of the Seas into Palma and looking at transportation options to visit different beaches. We are open to a Taxi to PalmaNova beach, but for the same price we could potentially rent a Vespa scooter for the day. Has anyone done this and is it safe/recommended to rent scooters in Mallorca? Would we be able to visit different beaches in a reasonable distance by renting a scooter. Thanks!

You need to check if your travel insurance will cover you for any 'incidents' when renting a scooter.  Scooter rental is an exclusion on many policies. 

p.s. by 'incident' I mean injury or hospital visit etc, including missing ship.

They will leave by the ship and you return it there !! Hassel free
