JM B Posted February 13 #1 Share Posted February 13 HI. we are doing a 4 week trip from the US to Vietnam starting March 3rd. We fly into Ho Chi Min City (March 3), then we do a Scenic river cruise to Angkor Wat (Cambodia), then we fly back from Siem Reap to Hanoi (March 15) to visit more of Vietnam. Then we fly back to the USA from Hoc Chi Min City on March 31. I have a Multi entry visa, but when I filled out the application, I entered "Tan Son Nhat Int Airport (HCMC)" as the EXIT chekpoint. Is that correct ? or should I have entered the border crossing in Cambodia (Song Tien Landport) ? Basically should you enter the 1st exit point or the final exit point ? The instructions are not very clear, nobody answered my email on the e-visa web site, Scenic river cruise send me to my travel agent and my travel agent send me to where i ordered the visa from......when you Google online, you get some people saying that you need to have the correct exit checkpoint, others say it does not matter....... Maybe someone has faced this situation and can help out on this site. I am not sure if it really matters, but still trying to make sure I do not have any problems. Thank you. Redtravel Posted February 14 #2 Share Posted February 14 We were confused before the trip. We don’t live near anyplace that we could get the visa easily. We opted to buy the visa on the ship using OBC. It wasn’t expensive, less than $10. Vietnam is beautiful. Be sure to bring American dollars. We had Dong. However, everyone asked for US dollars. Shopping is great. Wish that I bought more.

I don't know if it matters and I am not condoning this. But, keep a couple of extra US$50 in your wallet. It worked for a couple on our river cruise many years ago that had the incorrect entry date on their visa. I would assume your cruise director will be able to help with this.

On Board Credit – issued by the cruise line (as part of your booking promotion) or your travel agent (as a sharing of their commission).
