Rare pierces Posted February 27 Author #4 Share Posted February 27 (edited) We were half-watching the news on Thursday afternoon when fate stepped in and decided the age-old, yet daily "what's for dinner" dilemma for us. The news person was babbling on about a bunch of inconsequential stuff when we heard the words "today is National Margarita Day". The first question that popped into my head was why haven't we seen any commercials or flyers handed out in parking lots or planes towing banners announcing the parade? How could an event this culturally significant be relegated to a brief “and in other news” mention just before a commercial break? Despite the failure of the Powers That Be to inform us properly, we managed to round up friends, head to the home of the best house margaritas ever and honor the day. Mr. Click Posted March 2 #5 Share Posted March 2 A bit late to the show on this one but 10 days ago a former co-worker called and asked for my help shooting the US National Syncro Ice Skating Championships here in Vegas. His second shooter could not make it...I warned my friend that I have been retired for 8 years now and my gear is a Sony a6400 with an 18-200mm lens. He must have been desperate and rented me a Canon 5R and a longish zoom lens. Here is my favorite image from the last night. Oh side not, this was the first time I ever saw, let alone shot figure skating..
