YC Questions - Luggage drop off at port & fridge restocking

We board in about 10 days, and a few of the silliest questions still are unsure for me.   We have YC on the Meriviglia leaving from Brooklyn in March.

Luggage-

We are parking at the Red Hook terminal parking lot.   This is our first time at that port, and first time on MSC and (obviously) first time in YC. Normally, we drive our car to an area with luggage porters, tip them $10 and leave our bags with them, then park our car and walk into the terminal.  With YC - do we just park our car in the garage, and walk our luggage with us to the YC line?

Fridge Restocking-

1. We don't drink alcohol. We would like to have our fridge space better used for juices, waters, and pops, which we enjoy on vacation - do we just let our concierge or room attendant aware of our requests?  Any chance there is some online form or email for these things?

2. Toblerone - I understand there will be a toblerone, but it's not restocked - one and done for the cruise.  Not that we will need the extra snacks with the YC restaurant and lounge so close - but I love toblerones 🙂

I can’t answer the parking question for that port, but suppose it will depend on how much luggage you have!

as to the fridge, just ask your butler to remove what you don’t want (or do it yourself and place it in unused closet space). And the. Let him or her know what you would like to keep stocked.

you do get one free bottle of liquor - if you don’t drink at all you could offer it up to folks you meet in YC. Or we posted in the fb group for our sailing asking if anyone wanted our Prosecco and we dropped it off at their cabin they were non YC and super appreciative!

and yes,Mon,y one toblerone, sadly!

You are sailing Yacht Club. Do not drop your luggage with the regular bag drop. Look for the Yacht Club pop up tent. If needed ask. It’s generally white but can also be blue. There will be agents and porters there to provide the special handling. This will also be where your Yacht Club Experience will begin with escorted entry into the terminal. You can still drop your luggage first and then park, but do look for the Yacht Club tent first.

You can do it both ways, all depends on traffic and if you want to drag the bag. You even do not have to drop the bags at the YC tent it will still have priority handling and get to your room. In fact on one voyage my bag not drop at the tent got to the YC cabin faster than on a voyage I did drop the bag at the tent.

Everything at the Brooklyn port is close and not a far walk. You actually walk further on the ship from bow to stern. Parking is in an outside lot, there is no parking garage.

I don't drink beer and only diet soda (Pop) and the Butler had no problem replacing the bear and non-diet soda and kept the fridge stocked for the entire trip.

As to more snacks, just ask your Butler they tend not to say NO but don't leave anything extra out in the cabin.

We're leaving saturday on the Seascape in YC so this is timely.

When/where do we request the bottle of liquor - precruise or onboard?

Having been in Divina YC three times, it's never even been brought up - although I'm thinking there's been a bottle of sparkling in the fridge. Was THAT It?!

We'd prefer a good cabernet or even a bottle of mediocre tequila!
