Icon infinite balcony window open on port days?

I read on another site that you cannot open the infinite balcony when in port.  Can someone who has been on please clarify? It would not make sense to me if you truly cannot open the balcony window while in port.  TIA

We were on Icon a few weeks ago in a CP infinite balcony. I don’t recall having an issue opening the window when we were in port. I know we opened the window on embarkation day when we were still in port at Miami. However, we kept our window closed the majority of the cruise because the AC turns off when the window is open. Our cabin heated up quickly, even at night, when the window was open.
