Spring Break...away - Semi-Live from the NCL Breakaway! March 10-17, 2024

Recommended Posts

Ice bar was cool. There was a discount with the beverage package. Not sure if it was because we have premium plus or not but it was $21 and change total. Grabbed a selfie to make fun of my kid and some other photos. Drinks were ok but experience and photo ops were worth it.

Back to the casino after the ice bar. Broke even on BJ and +$14 on Pai Gow. The BJ session felt so rushed after playing full table pai gow!  We like pai gow because it’s so slow.

Casino tally is +$114 overall.

Tomorrow is Cozumel. We booked Playa Mia through NCL.

Ropes course was closed all day which was a bummer for the kids. Other bummer of the day was that the 12 year old was hanging in the basketball court and got smoked in the face with a basketball. She’s fine but it cut our evening a bit shorter than expected.

Not sure why some photos are upside down.

Other posters have mentioned it's about the orientation of your phone when you take a photo. In landscape, be sure the button to take the photo is on the right side. For portrait, on the bottom. I don't know if this will be helpful, but it's certainly been reported that it may help with upside down photos.

Photos won’t load. I’ll post them later.

Few more randoms for today. I hope they’re right side up and I hope they upload. It seems

to be going sloooooooow.

I have a solid buzz from Playa Mia. Food was ok, actually better than expected but nothing to write home about. Drinks were cold and they hit the spot. I opted for XX all day and the wife went with strawberry margaritas. The kids enjoyed themselves as well. They did the waterslide a bunch and spent some time in the pool. I opted for more beach time and floating on my $8 Amazon float. That float has come in clutch at many cruise ports for us!!

I am showered and will probably venture out for a drink or 2. We’re on the pier side of the ship but the lifeboats will block any potential pier runner action.

My hope for the evening is drinks, dinner, and maybe some more Pai Gow.

I just went in to the bathroom to investigate. I can confirm it’s been washed off!!

I’m a nice guy!  She’s lucky to have a guy like me.

We got beat down at pai gow and lost $200 and change. Overall tally is -$100 overall. We’ve put in a lot of hours, so I’m not mad about it.

Dinner was at savor and was good. The dessert was amazing!  It was s’mores something or other. Sorry, I’m 2.9 sheets to the wind and can’t remember the full name. The kids remember everything so I’ll ask them in the AM.

I wanted to throw dice after pai gow but my wife said noooooo, bed time. I asked for osheehans and she said noooooo, bed time. I’m in bed now. We’ve already established that I’m a pushover.

Captain said we have a time change tonight. If I am being honest, that’s both annoying and dumb. Lets stick with Nola time capt….come on man!
