The dress code for Guovanni's is listed as formal.  How closely is this monitored for an embarkation lunch?

People have shorts and tshirts there all the time. There is no dress code, just suggestion. Only the Empire supper club on Icon has a rule. No place else. Check out a YouTube video in that restaurant. Anything goes. Relax. Enjoy.

Giovanni's is our go-to embarkation lunch spot. Shorts and tshirts are fine.

Formal? I thought it was listed as the same as the dress code for the day.  Boarding day, it's always casual.

I had to look it up, out of curiosity. Yep, attire is listed as Formal (??!!) but the description is “casual trattoria.”  🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Really, it runs more casual. I honestly think that Formal attire would not be the norm there at all.

You will see shorts and T shirts in there ALL THE TIME, especially embarkation day lunch.  We've done embarkation lunch twice and between the two occurrences all 19 of us were in jeans or shorts.
