POA disembarkation process?

We are staying a few days post cruise and we're planning our disembarkation day. My question is if its different than international cruises, i.e. no customs, etc. Do they still take all your luggage into a big room and you pick it up? I assume self-disembarkation is an option, but were not in that much of a hurry for that hassle.

I'm thinking we ought to be off ship mid morning worse case, say 10-ish? Travel to hotel, stow our luggage and be on our own by noon? Is this reasonable, too much or too little time? What we do for the afternoon is TBD pending how much time we have.

You will be off by 9:30. Remember,  the ship needs to get ready for the next load of pax.

You are correct,  no Immigration ( the more important and complicated issue) or Customs issues.

Shouldn't be any problems being at your hotel before noon.

It will most likely move faster than that. No formalities, small cruise terminal. If you are staying in Waikiki you are 10-15 minutes from your hotel. You might be at your hotel around 10 or not long thereafter if you are motivated to do so.

Earlier this month we waited until they chased us out of the atrium around 9 AM.  We are platinum, so were able to use the Latitudes line to get off quickly.  The regular line wrapped around the ship, but was probably an extra 15 minutes.  We self carried, but they will place luggage in the holding area for you.

Taxi to Waikiki was quick, much less traffic on a Sunday morning. Less than 20 minutes vs 1 hr on Friday afternoon. Recommend taxi vs Uber.  They are lined up, no waiting.  Price is about the same.

Checked into hotel by 10.  Rested a bit, out on the street around 10:45.

Plenty of things to see and do in Waikiki.  We ended up walking 5 miles that afternoon.
