danibethb Posted April 8 #1 Share Posted April 8 Hubby has a lung disease, can no longer walk very much distance at all. Planning to reserve him a scooter today. We have had conflicting responses from Regent, so I asking former guests…is there a specific area for parking and charging at night . thank you, thank you, thank you! carolina cruisin Posted April 8 #2 Share Posted April 8 Hoping someone that has actually used scooter onboard will respond. I can say that on our recent cruise on Explorer - a gentlemen "parked" his scooter at the end of our passageway every night. Never seemed to be an issue. Covepointcruiser Posted April 9 #3 Share Posted April 9 No scooters in aisles on Splendor. You should be able to charge in your “suite” especially if you have an accessible suite.
Scout16 Posted April 9 #4 Share Posted April 9 I was last on the Voyager and several were parked outside their doors. I have no idea how they were charged and I can see that on the Explorer class ships this would create a problem due to the hallways being narrower. Prior to 2019 I had enough problems getting my wife with a walker or a transport chair through the suite door and past the end of the bed to image how difficult it would be to get a scooter into the suite. fizzy Posted April 9 #5 Share Posted April 9 I thought that scooters were not allowed to be left in the corridors on any ship for any reason. Has something changed.
