I've brought canned soda on HAL ships many times in the past.  Has this been changed to bringing no soda on board?

It probably changed when all wine went to $20/bottle corkage fee, instead of the 1 "free" bottle per adult. Here is current non-alcoholic policy:

"Items such as sodas, energy drinks or other non-alcoholic items are not allowed on board in any form. Plastic water bottles are not allowed. However, an allowance of six liters, twelve (12) cans or cartons (500 ml in volume or less) or six (6) cans or cartons (1 liter in volume or less) of water are allowed per stateroom.  Any amount in excess of this allowance will be not be allowed onboard. Water in plastic bottles will not be allowed onboard in any quantity, including in ports of call. Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding."

Can I ask another couple of questions!

Is there a self service laundry on Niew Statendam ?

Can you access your bill on the cabin TV like I could on the Celebrity ships?

I have been very impressed with the laundry service on HAL.  I think that in 30+ years of drop off laundry, I have never seen it folded so well.

I don't know about the television but you can always access it via the Navigator app on your phone.

Welcome to HAL! No self laundry on HAL, but they have absolutely the best laundry service- many threads about it here on CC.

Yes your statement is available on the TV in your cabin.

Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!

Good to know about the water bottles on Hal,will have to keep that in mind .

Just for clarification, plastic water bottles, both disposable and non-disposable, are permitted at the cruise terminal if they are EMPTY.  When returning to the ship after an excursion, you will not be asked to empty any plastic, disposable or non-disposable, plastic container.
