Excursions on Emerald River Cruises?

My husband and I are going on a Rhine River Cruise with Emerald Cruise Line in April 2025. We understand that excursions are included with our cruise, however there are some options that we can pay for for additional excursions at certain ports. I have been on the Emerald Cruise Line website and cannot find in my booking where I can see excursions listed that I could possibly book. Could anyone please explain to me where the Excursion area is located so that I might be able to review the excursions and book some before the cruise online.

 

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Those are the Discover More excursions, they are on most cruises however not on all. Have been on 6 Emerald cruises and if there were any Discover More excursions on your cruise, they should show up on your booking info that you've received. You don't need to book these before hand as there's a info session on these excursions...if there are any on your cruise...during the cruise and you can book them then.

So there's no place on the Emerald Cruise website where these Discovery More excursions are listed that I can view? if so, how do I find that area?

Go to the Emerald website and at the top on the left you'll see River. Click on it and you'll see River Experience and under that is DiscoveMore Excursions.

I followed your directions but I still couldn't find the area with DiscoveMore Excursions. Could you possibly post a link to that page for me? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I was able to get a lot of information out of it that I was looking for. but I'm still wanting to know about the Salzburg Excursion. So if you have any other links you can send me that I can look through, that would be greatly appreciated. My cruise is on the Emerald Dawn, October 5th through 19th 2025. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry, I can't help much. I find Emerald & their parent company Scenic's websites so bad I rarely look at them. We sail with Avalon, so I can't really help you much more than what you can find online.

You are about 17 months out from your cruise- and the optionals might change before then. 

 

If you look at the same cruise this year, it might have some more information for you.  But, I suspect you won't get much in the way of info on optional excursions for October next year before the spring of 2025.   And even if you can find some info, they always reserve the right to change things.  If something on the cruise this year seems to be problematic - or a complete bust - they might opt to drop it and bring something else in. 

 

As mentioned above, you can always book on the boat.  The optionals will be explained in more detail during the port briefing - and you can sign up then.  It is a very different process than is on a big ship where you often need to sign up ahead or run the risk of the excursion being sold out.
