AlaskaWhaleBreach Posted May 2 #1 Share Posted May 2 (edited) Several members of our party can't go on a Holland America cruise next week. There is still one person in the cabin with no-shows. For a no-show for Holland America, how are port fees and taxes refunded? Are they refunded to the onboard account or to the original payment method (credit card)? What if the cruise was paid through a travel agency? Edited May 2 by AlaskaWhaleBreach
Rare terrydtx Posted May 3 #2 Share Posted May 3 Before the cruise they are refunded back to the original form of payment.

I assume no notice given to HAL prior to the cruise. I have no idea. Cherie
Rare Mary229 Posted May 3 #4 Share Posted May 3 Additionally there have been long threads about when to cancel or whether to cancel if there is insurance. You may want to start a new thread and ask if it is better for the person to just not show up or should they cancel.
Rare TiogaCruiser Posted May 3 #5 Share Posted May 3 (edited) Welcome to Cruise Critic. As Mary said, you might want to start another thread. It’s been a while since we’ve had one on this topic (so ignore the person who tells everyone that it’s frequently discussed here. 😉😇) Edited May 3 by TiogaCruiser
