Third stop is a Seaman's school where one can train to work on a ship.

If you want to avoid the line and expense of the ship provided shuttle ($16) and for some reason you can’t get the Tromso app to work, there’s a ticket kiosk at the University stop directly up the hill from the ship ($2 for 2 hours). The 20 bus from there takes you to town and you can take the 42 bus back to the ship.

Thanks all for the beautiful pictures!  Looked like you all had a fantabulous time!  And thanks so much for sharing your adventure!  🥰

 

Looking forward to our time in Norway in a couple of months on Serenade.  We have a bonus, with our Captain Stig being a resident of Norway.  He will be proudly showing off his home country!  

 

He did a presentation on first quarter, showing off pictures of his homeland...you could tell he loves it there.  🙂

I had a seriously outstanding day in Tromso today. Blue Puffin is first class, it’s small group (15 people?) and they took Care of their customers.

 

I’m with them again tomorrow in Hommingsvag, so really looking forward to the North Cape!

Tonight looks to be yet another very weak entertainment night with the main event being the RC Singers (again) in the theatre… not a show, just singing. Blah. One game Show (family feud).

 

I’ll check for any replies or questions a bit later perhaps… if nothing imminent, I’ll be checking in most likely at sail in tomorrow morning early I’m guessing (likely with twangster and biker art the helipad like this morning… YES all

three of us together in one place! CC history occurred in this day June 3, 2024 north of the Arctic Circle in Tromso) 👍😆
