The only way you're watching the games are if you're one of 7 people onboard who can grab a seat at the bar. Skybox is the same way. Except they did have some high tables. Of course having been in the skybox for hockey playoffs recently I can tell you people will just stand behind the bar so they're in front of the people at the high tables anyway. The one improvement they tried to make with this bar, which started with Panorama, was in skybox the bar took up the entire length of the space. In this one on the far right there are two big TVs that aren't in front of the bar. They're in front of a sitting area. I think it was just one on Panorama and they increased it to two here. It was a gorgeous day and I just was not In the mood for a big sit down lunch and starting to drink at 11 so after agonizing over my decision for hours l skipped it. Wish they’d have it at noon or 12:30. 🤷♀️

SkyBox bar on all Conquest and Spirit class ships has a good 20-25 seats along the bar and TVs on both sides of the lounge so there are usually good viewpoints even on busy NFL Sundays. The Vista class SkyBox bars are much too small. Panorama DOES have the MGM sportsbook kiosks though.
Rare TxTeach79 Posted May 28 Author #938 Share Posted May 28 Welp, it happened in the most awkward of ways…. I was seated with another single at the Diamond lunch and there was nothing I could do about it that wouldn’t have been brutally rude. He just - put us there. I was seated first at a four top, and then not thirty seconds later he seated a guy across from me. Lucky for me, Ted was a nice guy and had been on a ton of cruises all over the world and was full of hot casino opinions, so it was fun.

Two tiny TVs hanging from the ceiling that I doubt you can see from back there. There's one small TV in the corner on one side the nobody is watching. Put bigger TVs hanging from the ceiling for people not sitting at the bar would be my preference. Spirit I was never in during any big sporting events. It's a little better with these two TVs on the side. It's an awkward spot for the people in those booths though and probably results in people standing in front of the booths watching them. Other than those it's just the bar TVs. Carnival has yet to build a perfect sports bar. This may be one of the better options. Of course these are the ships that frequent other countries so their sports bars probably get less use than other ships. Rare TxTeach79 Posted May 28 Author #941 Share Posted May 28 Ivan 🇵🇭 kept the mimosas coming. Actually, they had trays of the standards going around but they were bringing anything you wanted from the bar too

Rare TxTeach79 Posted May 28 Author #949 Share Posted May 28 Marco Polo is an interesting venue for this because there are so many little closed off spaces…. It’s hard to see who’s speaking (I was lucky, it was right next to my table) or really get an idea of how many folks are there. I like the space, though.
