Whitby100 Posted May 23 #1 Share Posted May 23 Quick question - family has just decided to join us on our next cruise - their first AZ. They’ve peppered us with questions and the only one we’re stumped on is, what happens if you travel with large hardbody suitcases (verandah cabin)? We have the soft, duffel sort which fit under the bed so we haven’t encountered this. Thanks.
blag Posted May 23 #2 Share Posted May 23 Under the bed. The beds are designed to provide adequate storage for any suitcases that you are likely to be able to take on a flight.

tgg Posted May 23 #4 Share Posted May 23 If you're concerned about the hard-sided suitcase being crushed under the bed, just ask your cabin attendant to store it for you. He'll find a place that is outside your cabin. (Just make sure he doesn't put it in the closet.)
Grandma Cruising Posted May 23 #5 Share Posted May 23 Our fairly large hard shell suitcases go under the bed easily.
Rabo Posted May 23 #6 Share Posted May 23 We have nesting hard shell bags. They fit under the beds with plenty of room to spare.
Borrie Posted May 24 #7 Share Posted May 24 If it is really too big to fit under the bed, open it up and then slide it under.
excitedofharpenden Posted May 24 #8 Share Posted May 24 I've never had a problem getting the hard shelled case under the bed, even large ones. You should be fine. Phil
Rare uktog Posted May 24 #9 Share Posted May 24 We have been known to get 4 x 80cm hard shell cases under the bed on a 42 day adventure no problem. Enjoy your cruise!
