OBC Casino question

Recommended Posts

I will have $200. That was given because of a canceled cruise and an additional $300 from the Celebrity credit card. Can I use this in the casino?  Can I play a slot machine and cash it out without running it all through?  Thank you for your advice.

You can, but in general you have to spend 50% to be able to download more.  For example, let's say you download 100.00. You then bet 1.00 at a time.  You have to do 50.00 worth in order to download more.  If you spend less, but want to stop, hang on to the cash out ticket, and put it in next time.

I did this with $600 OBC this past December on Summit.  I did it directly from a slot machine and used the “personal banker” feature, just follow the steps from there.  I was not limited in the amount I used of which I basically cashed out almost the entire amount.  Both prior to my cruise and since, I have seen folks here say it cannot be done.  I can only tell you my experience and one of the casino attendants helped me do it.

Is all your OBC non refundable? I would hope that the amount from the credit card is refundable.

Regardless, you can take out all $500 at once and cash it out after playing a minimal amount or just remove the $500 without playing and then put that ticket into another machine without using your room card. Then cash it out and go to the casino desk to receive your $500.

Do not take out a smaller amount because, as Abby says above, you may be locked out from being able to remove more until you play 50%. That varies by ship and on some there is no lock out and others the lock out is for 2 days.

For your situation just take out the entire amount at once and you will have no problem turning it into cash. It is a bit tricker taking out say $2000 but it can be done.

That is why it is best to take out all/max allowed OBC on your first withdrawal. There are ways around the above rule, but like manufactured spending, once discussed the methods may be shut down - so I will not post them.
