ennegram Posted June 24 #1 Share Posted June 24 Premier packages now include 2 nights of Specialty Dining that can be made in advance. Has this significantly impacted the availability of S D reservations made after boarding?

Not in my experience we have been able to book specialty dinners while on board and sometimes just walking in after 7:30. This was true on every cruise we have taken since the restart. No real difference since premier started. We see more plus packages than premiers.

On most Princess cruises we see the most demand for all types of dining from 5:00 to 6:00. If you prefer to eat later like we do there is much less demand. For the MDR we usually see lines starting by 4:30. Also the more families the less demand most people are not going to get premier for kids or lay out $35 + for a specialty dinner Edited June 24 by memoak
reedprincess Posted June 24 #5 Share Posted June 24 (edited) It significantly affected my sailing on Caribbean Princess. Wasn't able to book Sabatini's at all, and Crown was only once Not so much my Regal sailings. Neither was during a holiday period or anything. Neither was sold out, AFAIK. Booked Premier aboard. In the future, I'll buy in advance and book specialty in advance.. The venues are smaller on CB and availability is a lot more limited than Regal.. We usually take longer cruises and do not have an issue. The only short ones we take are Alaska b2b cruises which tend to have tons of families who don’t want to eat dinner as late as 8:

Yes, rather use OBC rather than credit card payment.
