Freedom of the Seas casino question

Recommended Posts

For anyone currently on the Freedom or who has been recently been on it, are there video poker machines in the casino?   Will be sailing on the Freedom in September and I am going to be bummed if there are no video poker machines   😕

They don't.   And somehow I think that Royal is one of the cruise lines that doesn't have them on every ship.  Just want to verify one way or the other specifically about the Freedom of the Seas.

We sail on Freedom in October, so i'm interested in this question!!

I've yet to sail on a ship that doesn't have ANY VP machines, but some have definitely been removed and some ships have more than others for sure.

Last year we sailed on Voyager, and they had just installed 5 new VP machines but they weren't up and running for our 5 day cruise. The only others they had were 3 ancient machines by the bar that only had single line games.

Needless to say, i spent that cruise playing slots and blackjack, and let the casino staff know how disappointed we were.

We sail next week on Rhapsody, hoping they've got good machines for us!!

Yes !    Thanks so much for taking the time to check these out and for the photos.

(I don't know about those Ten Play, though ...)

I'm pretty sure those are all SuperStar machines, which give you the option of playing multi-hand games (3/5/10 hands) along with choices of VP games like UltimateX and Super times pay. These are the ones i like to play, my husband likes playing single line games.

I have a lot of points on my RCL credit card.  I would like to use them to add some OBC to my on board account.  Will I be able to cash them out in the casino on a slot machine or are they non-refundable?

Even if non-refundable, you can still likely use the slot machine cash out method.

We're on the Freedom right now.  The only video poker machines we saw were 3x and 10x.   We haven't seen any of the multi poker game machines.    They either removed them or they are hidden somewhere...

uh oh. I hope you're wrong...?!?! There's a pod of 6 machines (i believe from looking at photos) and they all had the choice of playing multiple different games (like UltimateX or Super times pay or dream card, etc) plus single line....surely they haven't changed them all out in a month??

I’ll look and it will be posted on my CC thread if I cannot find this one again.

I looked at the 6 video poker machines this morning.    Some were 3x or 10x play.   The others where you could pick your game did not have the typical video poker games.   They had Keno, Spin Poker, Ultimate X.    No Jacks or Better,  Double Bonus etc.

Thanks for this. However, i think you need to dig down a little more. Once you select the type of game you want (like Ultimate X) THEN you pick how many hands to play (3? 5? 10? whatever this machine has) and THEN you choose which VP game to play - Jacks or Better, Double bonus, etc. All of those should be available for each of the different games....does that make sense???

I guess I don't know what I'm doing.   I could never get Jacks or Better or Double Bonus etc single line poker.

But I found another machine I liked (not poker) so it all worked out.

thanks for checking. glad you found a game you like and hope you're winning something!
