Flight Time Changes

Recommended Posts

I just received notification from Flightease that our flight from Montreal to SAN now arrives at SAN at 12:01 and our connection to our local domestic airport leaves at 13:20.

Is it reasonable to believe we will make the connecting flight, being we have to go through customs and immigration?

Montreal has US Preclearance so you will go through US immigration/customs clearance before you board your aircraft in Montreal.  Your flight is then treated like a domestic flight, so no customs or immigration when you arrive at San.  Assuming that your flight arrives at SAN on time (or close) you should have no problem making your connection.

By the way, allow yourself some extra time at Montreal, because the pre-clearance procedure does take a few extra minutes.  They do use the new facial ID system which does help speed-up the process.

SAN is very small. Unlikely to be a problem. Especially since you will clear US Immigration and Customs at Montreal.

Curious what this has to do with HAL?

Flightease, post cruise and this is my trusted community 😁
