What a terrible things to happen to all of those homes and their residents  Has anyone heard if it affected cruise ships?

That area is far from downtown, so the ships have not been impacted other than certain excursions.  

 

It's really unfortunate because this is the second incident in a relatively short period of time that a glacial dam outburst has caused devastation along that river.

What type of water related excursions are you asking about?   The flood waters have dissipated.
