Have you seen the Northern Lights? There have been many pictures posted on Sunday and Monday from many states (even South Carolina and Tennessee) and quite a few from various places in Alaska.

Yes, it is hot here in good old Dallas/Fort Worth. But when I think of how hot & humid it was in Key West last month, the weather here is not so bad.

It will! Saw them in Chicago 2 weekends ago. Well worth it.

I think I left off somewhere around here. I let guest services know last night about the internet problem. I mean I really just needed it for two days and yesterday was one of them which was useless. I told them I’d be fine canceling it, using my ATT until the last sea day, then, using my 150 free mins on the sea day. We’ll see what happens.

This video is worth watching. A lot of information about Alaska. It’s technically the excursion selling presentation but it isn’t too much of that. She did mention both of my bear tours saw bears last week so I’m hopeful. I know I pick the right time of year for it.

Love the Jewel class promenade. The aft wrap around is one of my two favorite spots on the ship, that and Great Outdoors.

I got those Heinekens to take to lunch. I thought they were going to be glass bottles because I saw some in the fridge. Turns out those were the nonalcoholic ones.

I’m trying to order some different items. I know I had the cottage pie last year. It was good but I’m trying the risotto today. Also got Cobb salad, hush puppies. For dessert I asked for the server recommendation. It was the mouse

Thanks Greg!  I've always wondered about these, especially with the push to sustainability.  None of the cocktails jumped out at me.

The veterans event is in the spinnaker at 12:30. This is a bigger more private area than last year. Last year it was in the wide open lounge everyone just walks by. Bliss I think.

 

 

 

Same CD as last year. She’s okay. None of the crazy outfits, wild party hosting, or comedy that you get from carnival CDs. But maybe it’s just the Alaska itinerary

 

they brought around small bites. It looked like spoons of some crab thing. I passed since I just ate lunch.

The have a glass wall so you can’t walk in front of that spinnaker lounge it’s their nice indoor viewing area on this ship so they keep it where the views can’t be blocked.

The guy was telling a bunch of Philippines jokes on that Asian cruise slide and I was the only one laughing so I’m guessing these are mostly new cruisers.

 

Things like NCL has been avoiding going there because then who is going to work on the ship. And there was 100 million people there but now there’s only 50 because the rest are on the ship.

That Screwball PeanutButter Whiskey is pretty good and does taste like PeanutButter!! I'd like to try that and the rum with the Banana frapped up with vanilla ice cream!
