Delta- Change flight date?

Does Delta allow moving the flight date within a year of original date? We may have to cancel a cruise for Oct. and I hope I can change the flight to a January cruise date.

In addition, some fares require travel within a year of purchase date, others within one year of original travel and some have entirely different change rules completely.
