We are booked on a Norse Atlantic flight in March to Barbados.

Is there anyone else a little apprehensive about flying this airline.

I messaged P&O on Facebook and the responds I received looked like a copy and paste.

"Norse Atlantic Airways (hereby ‘Norse Atlantic’), founded in March 2021, is an airline specialising in long-haul, direct flights to exciting destinations, as well as exceptional service on board modern and more fuel-efficient Dreamliners, catering to both business and leisure travellers. No matter which of our three airline partners you fly to the Caribbean with, you can expect the following services during your flight experience: In-flight entertainment A range of cabins Drink service Meal service Luggage allowance from 23kg (based on cabin class) Bonded baggage. I hope this helps."

Norse Atlantic were called Norwegian before Covid. They are fine. They offer a service on par with Tui day to day out of Gatwick.

They are not new, have lots of experience (including as Norwegian). I’ve flown them a number of times as a scheduled airline. They are very much a Tui standard rather than Virgin or BA.

Have flown Norwegian a few times.

Son, Grandson and some American friends have all flown Norse at different times, on Transatlantics.

No complaints from anyone....in fact just praise, for the price paid, aircraft and service offered.

Norse are not a Maleth. They have permanent staff, a fleet of aircraft and experience.

On Facebook a lot of people are criticising them because they have never heard of them…. It’s not fair. Listen to those who have travelled with them.

One thing to hope is that Antigua has sorted out its ground staff issues.

Thanks everyone. A little more reassured. Luckily only flying out. Was worried after Paul Ludlow said you would have an excellent experience with Maleth when he announced P&O “partnering” with them and look what happen. I have looked at the reviews on-line of Norse and have found the main concern with them is when thing go wrong their customer service is very poor.

That’s common across most airlines.

Like a lot of Caribbean islands, ground staff are stretched at the airports. This means that when a plane is delayed or cancelled, ground staff often can’t cope, there is no flexibility with regard to shift times/overnight cover. This leads to issues like we saw overnight last year,

There are not P&O or the airlines fault, but a function of how small airports operate.

Just reading Norse aren't in the best financial health.  In the first quarter of 2024 losses were 20% of revenues, turnover circa $160m, losses $30m,

They have offloaded a number of aircraft to try and reduce losses.

None of that is unusual for a new start-up airline, especially offering these sort of itineraries. It's partially why they are offering more charter operations to better utilise their fleet.
