dolphinsfan246 Posted August 20 #2 Share Posted August 20 Interesting choice to have only 2 Spirit class ships in Alaska. Especially with all the other lines going bigger in Alaska (not that I agree with that) Perhaps there is still more to come with Alaska?

I would think so, unless they plan on keeping her in Australia year round. But at the same time I can't see them putting a bigger ship in San Francisco versus Seattle. With the Spirit & Miracle being in Seattle, the Legend in Europe, and the Pride presumably in Baltimore, that only leaves the Luminosa for San Francisco unless they go larger. trvlgirlmq Posted August 20 #6 Share Posted August 20 I would have loved to do the eclipse cruise but my mom and I already planned to go back to Iceland. I'm stunned there is only 1 itinerary to Iceland. We're booked so only 677 days to wait 🤪
Knights on the Beach Posted August 20 #7 Share Posted August 20 I wish they would do another Honolulu to Vancouver (or San Francisco or Seattle, I'm not picky) cruise. We were booked on the last one scheduled for April 2020 and covid cancelled that one.

It seems like Carnival has abandoned doing those and instead has been choosing to do one long repo from Australia to Seattle instead of doing Australia to Honolulu, Honolulu to Vancouver, and then Vancouver to Seattle. Or would they pull the Adventure or Encounter over for an Alaskan season? It would make sense why they didn’t release those sailings today because there is still very little info about their transfer. If it was Luminosa why not just release those today with the rest? Pyxie Posted August 21 #16 Share Posted August 21 I'm heavily considering this. Currently have a room on hold actually. Kind of funny that most of the replies here aren't even discussing this itinerary. 😉
PinaCarada Posted August 21 #17 Share Posted August 21 Is anyone seeing casino rates for the Europe 2026 dates on the Legend? We have 10+ different casino rates for almost all sailings (including Europe 2025), but only Easy Saver and Fun Select for all of the Europe 2026 itineraries. I wonder if casino rates haven't loaded yet for those sailings and if I should just snatch up a suite, pay the deposit on it, and call the casino line for a price adjustment when/if offers drop for us. No. I checked my husband's and he doesn't have anything past April 2026.

Especially with all the other lines going bigger in Alaska (not that I agree with that) Perhaps there is still more to come with Alaska? With Venezia, Panorama, and Radiance all on the west coast doing MX riviera runs, it will not surprise me to see Carnival shift one of these ships, like how Royal Caribbean has been doing. Summer in Alaska, winter doing MX riviera. It would be feasible to send the Venezia or Panorama up the coast, as they are higher occupancy and would compete a bit better with the larger ships from Royal and NCL. I cant imagine there is *that* much demand for MX sailings, and the pricing would lead me to believe I am correct. AK is usually one of the highest ADR for Carnival, where the riviera tends to be the lowest. I could see this happening, especially as Juneau is looking to put a cap on how many ships can visit. A larger capacity ship = a way around the cap.

I'd gladly book a Havana cabana for an Alaskan sailing on Panorama.
