Hello

3 of us have booked a Suite on Ovation for 10 Day New Zealand trip departing Sydney on November 28th.  We will have access to the "Coastal Kitchen" and am enquiring will the CK be offering lunch on embarkation day?  If anyone has had this experience I'd appreciate your comments - thank you.  The Cruise Countdown is well and truly on now!

Regards

God forbid one had to eat with the great unwashed at the buffet

Coastal kitchen is over rated in my opinion. Lovely venue ,staff are great but I’m not into fine dining.

Free room service and a private line to the kitchen!

Considering it was our decision to pay the extra $ for a suite we are making the most of this benefit. Snarky comment not appreciated.

I am sure you will enjoy the extras that come with a suite. 🙂

I've done embarkation lunch at CK both times I was on the Ovation.

Last one being April last year. (10 night NZ Cruise in Owners suite)

Well worth it if you want to feel pampered from the moment you get on.

We try to eat there every day for lunch / dinner and some breakfast.

Btw, if you booked a full suite, then you'll get an email from the Suite Concierge about a week before the cruise with all the fine details on what is included and available as a full Suite guest. You can ask him/her any questions over email also.

I thought Coastal Kitchen on Ovation was awesome, and preferred the food to that of the specialty restaurants that were also inclusive with our suite. The only downside to embarkation lunch there was not dining under the sails of the Opera House. Otherwise the quiet & steady service was a treat. Not so much about fine dining, but relaxed and polished service, pretty much how dining rooms used to be.
