Self serve laundry

Hi All, We are sailing 14 days on the Pride, will be using self serve laundry and need to know method of payment. Are the machines coin operated, paper money, credit card? Have never used self serve laundry on a ship before. Thanks All

We were on the Pride this past April.  I believe they are cruise card operated for both washer and dryer, about $3 each charged to your on board account.  If you have problems with machine not operating, ask for refund from customer desk.  There were some problems on our floor with a machine.  I believe there were 2 washers and 2 dryers.  On other floors there may be more.  Iron and ironing board available.

 

Bring your own soap pods and dryer sheets, more economical.  I bring a few of each in a plastic baggie.  Sometimes the machines that dispense those do not work either.

 

Watch for slow times - during dinner, verrrry early or late at night.  

 

The running times for both washer and dryer are listed.  Watch your time and get your clothes out of the machine; otherwise someone else will.

Unfortunately, venezia doesn't have laundry room, with a 10 day cruise I'd love to do a load so I don't have to do it when I get home.

I'd agree, bring your own pods and sheets (I use wool balls, much better for environ and cheaper).

Nor any of the Excel class ships (MG, Celebration or Jubilee)

Hours: hours are posted on the Launderette door 

• 2 or 3 washers and 2 or 3 dryers ($)
• 1 iron and ironing board
• Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener ($)

You use your sail & sign card for onboard expenses, including the laundry rooms.
