ScottsSweetie Posted August 28 #1 Share Posted August 28 Sailing on MSC for the first time this weekend (Seashore). Our ticket reflects a 12pm check-in time, and says that my check-in closes within 1 hour. Also says, "in the event you arrive after your assigned check-in slot closes you may be denied embarkation". I have never seen this on any other cruise line - is this enforced? Can I truly not board after 1pm?
Rare Essiesmom Posted August 28 #2 Share Posted August 28 The times given are only hopeful suggestions. You can board any time up to two hours before scheduled departure. If your departure is scheduled for 5pm, you must be checked in by 3pm. EM
Preziosa Posted August 28 #3 Share Posted August 28 Be there early, you have paid for the first Day. You Can board when you Will.
Rare JamieLogical Posted August 28 #4 Share Posted August 28 MSC does not enforce arrival times in any way, shape, or form on US sailings. 2

Yes, I realize I have paid for the first day. I would rather start my day out leisurely at the hotel and not hurry up so I can wait in line at the port. Rare Essiesmom Posted August 28 #6 Share Posted August 28 I have boarded at Port Canaveral several times in the last year. I find arriving after 1230 avoids the worst of the lines. EM
