Is it necessary to confirm reservations shortly before departure?

We are two weeks away from our departure for a Mediterranean cruise.  I have private transportation arranged from the airport and also to the port.  Also have a couple of private shore excursions.  Would you re-confirm all these reservations?

In 26 year's I've never confirmed my reservation.    But on the other hand, if you log onto celebrity your reservation will show.

The OP said these were all private bookings. Thus, Celebrity would know nothing about them.

I can't think of any reason you wouldn't want to confirm with private parties. Are there any? Better to fix an issue now versus while on vacation.

I always send an email to whoever I am using for private excursions, I like the piece of mind having the confirmation in hand provides.
