blackfly Posted September 2 #1 Share Posted September 2 Booked 7 day cruise for next Summer on Silhouette, Reykjavík to Reykjavík. The cruise before ours docks in Reykjavík at 5:00am to allow passengers enough time to get to the airport for morning departures. We will be flying in from Boston that morning. Anyone dare to venture a guess how early Celebrity will allow arriving passengers to board. Most flights from the US arrive very early in the morning. Ours is 6:05am. If we have to wait until 11:00am or so we will need to find a way to pass the time.
Rare desibee Posted September 2 #2 Share Posted September 2 Do the Blue Lagoon when you fly in. They will pick you up at the airport, shuttle you to the lagoon for 8am, you spend a few hours there and they will shuttle you to the cruise port for embarkation. Easy peasy.
Mr. Click Posted September 2 #3 Share Posted September 2 Desibee nailed it. If you want to do the Blue Lagoon or just go and look like we did the best time to do it is on the way from the airport. With all of the road closures from the volcanic activity it is hard to reach the BL from the city.

Iceland Air has a great airport lounge for Saga Class passengers They have places for napping and lots of food and beverages. Great place to spend several hours. blackfly Posted September 2 Author #5 Share Posted September 2 The lounge is only for departing passengers not arriving. Blue Lagoon is a great option but we are not spa people. Going there for breakfast is a thought. We will be traveling with luggage which could be a complication. Thanks for the replies.

And new passengers won’t be allowed to board until the previous passengers are all off and the ship is made ready, which is usually after 10:30.
