Voyager of the Seas condition & refit?

Recommended Posts

Gday Guys,

Thinking about Voyager for a Dec 2025 NYE cruise.

My concern is its age & condition.

Last refit in 2019?

Love Radiance & Ovation and are really keen for a new class of RCI ship.

We had a Voyager cruise cancelled due to covid..

Please let me know what you think for any recent cruises on Voyager in a Grand Suite.

Cheers

CS

I believe she had a bit of  update/upgrade/refresh of some of the cabins/public areas during the covid pause, and that is why it has been so long since her last drydock.

As far as I am aware, she is scheduled in drydock next month.

Grand suites are great, but I think we had an owner suite on Voyager and it was back when she was last in Oz. I do prefer Radiance & Ovation, but that is just personal taste.

After the pandemic I believe it had two over halls ,one was a major one in Europe , France I think it was ?

It’s an old ship but Royal usually looks after their ships  and the Americans haven’t been complaining about it ,so it can’t be that bad.

After some research it appears the last interior overhaul was in 2019 in Singapore.

That was that half hearted amplification they did before it came to Australia.

It went to Singapore in the shutdown and floated around for a longtime.

It had a sea worthy check and then went to Brest France for a technical dry dock.

It had a lot of carpet replaced recently when some decks got flooded.

Thank you for the replies.

Wifey likes the look of Celebrity Edge/Apex

We have done South Pacific & NZ to death.

Maybe a Fiji & South Pacific on Celebrity may work

Or East cost of OZ for say 10 nights.

Time to have a look..

Cheers

I'm considering a Voyager transatlantic.  Does anyone know if it has steam and sauna still available without an extra charge?  I sailed Explorer TA last October, and it still did.  If anyone has any info on the state of this ship, the Voyager or Independence with regards to steam/sauna, please let me know.
