New Premier Cruises

Just got off a Premier cruise and they are not like they once were. No welcoming party the first day, no drawings except for the hot seat and Fireball which are common to all cruises. There used to be nightly drawings. Welcoming gift was a cup and parting gift was a tote bag. No lanyard.  Very disappointing but it is just a continuation of the cutbacks since the pandemic.   Casino continues be a disappointment as they remove older machines and replace them with newer models that seem to require higher bets with little payout.

Because you make your own "Premier".  No Executive Host onboard.  They created so many Ultras and Elites that the Executive Hosts need to sail on, something had to give.

Didnt any casino offer ( including Premier) include the Perk of waving the 3% for getting cash at the tables?  Has that changed?

Only the premier, ultra, elite and echo waives the 3% fee.  We always sail on casino offers but if they are not one of the above, you pay the 3%.

Damn, this is disappointing to hear. We just booked a Premier offer for the first time and are sailing in November. I had read good things and I guess my expectations are somewhat high. The good thing is that since it is a first time with a Premier offer I don't have a comparison and this will be setting the bar.

Be prepared-Premier cruises are extremely crowded.  It will not be easy getting a machine or seat at the tables.

Enjoy!

I quit doing the premiers and Ultras due to the crowds in the casino, it just seemed like a hassle when I could never play the machines I wanted unless it was 6am, But, it is fun to do them at least once even though they are not what they used to be. The energy in the casino is definitely fun!

We will NEVER do Premiers or Ultras again. The elites are also tough but we always manage to get a seat and the machines are not as tough.

Agreed.  I don’t see the point either.  The Ultra we went on was a once-and-done.  And I paid full price for it.  I did win $750 gambling $$ envelope but I would rather do interiors for free. Too crowded.

We have definitely avoided booking on any kind of premiers/ultra/elite offers.  Unfortunately we are booked on one in January as it was the only cruise that fit into our "time slot."  Ugh.

It’s getting hard to find a cruise that isn’t one of those casino offers.

Very true.  We did have trouble, and the reason we did not book a "summer-ish" cruise was because they all seemed to be some kind of Casino offer- and tons of kids also - lol!

Lost depends on where you go out of. Going out of NYC. Casino is always crowded, getting a good machine is trying. And that a normal cruise. Going out of NOLA. casino is never that crowed except for 20 minutes after the show ends. It takes the show group 10 minutes to lose there $5 abdominal leave
