  1. Wow those whale pictures were amazing!! Really enjoying your review
  2. Will be interesting to see what Carnival does. A bit of a buzz about Royal Caribbean building the Discovery class to replace some of the smaller ships. Carnival may follow suit once Royal starts building...time will tell.
  3. Following along, first B2B coming up in June- I too will pout without my morning mimosa!
  4. I have only been on Fantasy class ships out of Jax. Spirit was there for about 6 weeks, either last year or the year before- I wanted to go but the timing didn't work out. Absolutely love the Spirit class but didn't know that then- first spirit class I went on was in 2021(Miracle) and had only been on 1 Carnival ship in 2010
  5. I really wish they would homeport a spirit class ship in Jax :)
  6. Also, they had dance classes in the atrium every day, ballroom, salsa, etc.. I dont dance (think hippo in leotards me not them) but it was a joy to watch each day
  7. Been on 1 journeys (14 day Caribbean out of Baltimore) and another booked for Dec 24 (Hawaii) and May 2025 (Greenland). Things I noticed. (Your experience may vary) * fewer kiddos *overall majority age 45+ passengers *vibe was fun but not out of control- great crowd Absolutely would do again.
  8. Would love to do the Venezia out of Canaveral but already booked on the Pride that month...
  9. Well, guess my offer wasn't for seeing on 18th or 19th.... maybe tomorrow 🙂 I have peeked at my neighbors points too, and wowza, yep, I'm a small fish.
  10. Mine was 18 or 19th but have deleted already. Will post when it comes in on 18th or 19th. The Premiers and Ultras just seemed very crowded in the casino so I don't even consider them any more. Going to try my first Elite this summer so will see how that goes
  11. You might just make it for Lobster season, presuming the dates for lobster season are similar in 2025. Conch fritters, Belizean stewed chicken, and if you want something simple and delicious- Fry Jacks with refried beans, delicious! Love the Caribbean lobster tails (very different than cold water tails) Bring cash, most of the BBQ vendors don't take credit cards, the regular restaurants do (most of them). While there are belizean (BZE) dollars, US currency is also accepted I'm excited for you! Yes they should match local time but double check
  12. To be on the safe side I would go for 1:30. You may be ok with 3:30 but its 45 min to get back to Belize city. I have looked at doing what you are doing when I cruise to belize and just don't know if there is enough time to really enjoy Caye Caulker. Lobster season ends in february but if you are there before the season closes (you said you would be there in Feb but not sure if you are there late or early Feb) there are usually people with BBQ grills randomly spaced and you can get a delicious lobster lunch grilled fresh with beans/coleslaw for a reasonable price, you just have to walk a little bit down from the split. Its a lovely little island although has gotten really popular- We have rented a place there a few times for a week at a time. Only a 10 min flight from belize city.
  13. Booked on the 16 day TA on Star in 2025- So looking forward to it. I booked one of the odd shaped room/ balcony on Deck 14, I think the bridge is right above me. Haven't seen any videos or photos of those type of rooms on any of the Sun photo/video yet but I will keep looking
  14. I recently renewed my passport. Turn around time was 3.5 weeks. I paid for expedited service
  15. Happily following along, will be on Jubilee for 2 weeks in June
  16. Elation is now passing Mayport in the St Johns River, so will be at the port soon
  17. Happycruiser7 just do it. A few years ago my travel partner was unable to go on a cruise we had been planning, so I thought I will just go solo. My husband and family were so upset I was going solo that I added a family member. We went on the cruise, it was fun but the whole time I kept thinking, I wish I had gone solo and then I became a little angry that I as a 50+ women was not able to travel by myself on a cruise. Fast forward, I have a cruise booked for 2025 and I am going solo- that's the end of it. Just go, have fun, people on Princess are very nice, lots of solo travelers. Be smart, go with your gut if you are unsure at times. As other people have suggested, join a roll call for your sailing. Get an internet package so you can keep in touch with family if that makes you feel better.
  18. We tried it for the first time in November. Decent shrimp, clam strips were good (better than most places but not as good as whole belly clams) and crab legs. It satisfied the seafood cravings and didn't break the bank and I was very happy with it. Looking forward to having again on the next few cruises.
  19. Thank you Megan! I have very much enjoyed your review and for taking us along with you!
  20. Traveled on Adventure OTS right when Covid hit. Had a great vibe, the food was amazing and I loved the schooner bar. Roomy junior suite, staff was good but not as friendly as other lines I have been on. It is just a really cool ship, in fact it is still my favorite ship I have been on. Good ocean views. Yes it is older but think the size is perfect, the solarium was great ( so grateful to have a covered area with huge hot tubs) This was the first Royal Caribbean ship I had ever been on . Now having said that, I don't know how it is post Covid but I booked a transatlantic on her this year and can't wait to sail on her again. I would pick Adventure over Allure any day. Allure is the only other Royal Carib ship I have sailed.
